As the horrific Alwar gangrape case took a political turn, Rajasthan Police has arrested two other accused under the IT Act for uploading a clip of the incident.
With the two arrests, police have made a total of three arrests. Those arrested have been identified as Ashok Gujjar, Mukesh Gujjar and Inderaj Gujjar. Two others are still absconding.
According to police, Mukesh Gujjar is responsible for spreading the video of the gangrape on social media.
The state government has directed Rajasthan Police to protect the woman and her family.
14 police teams have been constituted to nab all the accused.
A woman was on April 26 raped by five men in front of her husband in Rajasthan's Alwar district. The culprits thrashed the couple, took off their clothes and also filmed the act.
They later uploaded the clip on social media after failing to extort money from the victims. The SP of Alwar has been transferred.
